social secuity took my entire check this month for an over payment to my grandson when he was on ssi .they had tried to have me make payments they said i had to pay it back because i was the payee. my grandson is 21 years old and was 20 at the time of the over payment. i did not use the money for myself .i paid his rent from the money and gave the rest to him to live on for the month.iam disable and live on my retirement and ss.they left me with nothing .i expected that they would take some money from me,but not the entire check and might take it again next month.this is so unjust.i am a senior and diasable.can anything be done about this?

This also happend to me and a friend here in FL, not as much, but our local office lies and says that you never report changes when you do. Even when there is a mistake, they just take your ssi and taxes, like when they "assume" my income in months that are longer.
